January 8-12 as part of the implementation of President’s programming line “View to the future” mobile exhibition “In memory of generations” by museum-memorial complex “ALZHIR” was organized to Nazarbayev University at no cost. January 15-22 in the hall “ALZHIR” was organized the exhibition “ALZHIR is our memory and pain” with slide maintenance, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the arrival of the first batch of women with children to “ALZHIR”. In general it was the wives, sisters and mothers of famous State, political and public figures, declared as "enemies of the people" and executed in 1937-1938. Just in 1938-1953 were arrested and condemned as "wives of enemies of the people" and "family members of traitors" over than 18 thousand women from all over the country, including Aziza Ryskulova and Arifa Isengulova- wife and mother-in-law of Turar Ryskulov (deputy chairman of the council of people's commissars of the Russian SFSR) ; Damesh Zhurgeneva wife of Temirbek Zhurgenev- commissar of Public Instruction; Lydia Frenkel-Violina one of representative of the Moscow Boheme; Rachel Plisetskaya, actress of silent film and mother for Maya Plisetskaya- the famous ballerina and etc.

January 20 guide of the museum A. Iskendirova in “ALZHIR” hall gave a lecture for students of Politechnic College on: “ALZHIR” қасіреті мәңгі біздің жадымызда сақталады dedicated to 80 th anniversary of the arrival the 1 st batch of women to the ”ALZHIR” on January 6, 1938.

January 25 specialist of the exposition and exhibition work S. Maylibaeva in the hall “ALZHIR” gave a lecture for visitors of the museum on “The harsh truth of life” , dedicated to the memory of Rosa Naumovna Tsypkina- prisoner of “ALZHIR”. In 1938 Rose Tsypkina was condemned as traitor of the Motherland family members to 8 years in Corrective Labour Camp. Rosa Tsypkina cannot stand difficult trials of life she died in “ALZHIR” in 1940. Suplemment to the lectures were the original letters written by Rosa Tsypkina to her son Ben Gurevich from the lager “ALZHIR”.

At the present time preparations are under way to re- exposition of the hall “ALZHIR”, employees of the department exposition, exhibition and research works are constructed specialized exhibit plan, made the selection of photographs , documents and real objects received to the museum fund during the research work of the museum staff on 2015 - 2017.

On February 15 as part of the implementation of President’s programming line “View to the future: modernization of public consciousness” and 29th anniversary of Soviet military withdrawal from Afghanistan at the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” in “Zerde” hall was event on the theme "The tragedy of Afghanistan", organized jointly with the military unit no. 44813 of the air defense forces of the Kazakhstan Republic. Guests of the event: veterans of Afghanistan War - the chairman of the union of Afghans, Tselinograd district - Appasov Zeinulla Kabyldinovich, akim of rural district, Akmol, a veteran of the Afghan war - Duysekeev Janat Toleuovich, Zhakupov Beken Akzhunusovich, Dzharmuhanov Bolat Sadykovich, Tulkibaev Rahim Zhakievich – the first deputy chairman of regional branch party "Nur Otan", as well as regular conscript soldiers of the military unit no. 44813. Opening remarks were made by Deputy Director of the museum Dujsekeev Kuat Toleuovich, who thanked guests for what they honorably fulfilled their international duty. Distinguished guests shared memories about the tragic events in Afghanistan. Soldiers’ military service no. 44813 performed theme songs about war. For guests during the event was presented video "The order came", telling about the fate of the soldiers-internationalists. In memory of museum to guests has been handed a collection of memories of repressed children “Descendants remember”, published by a team of the museum to the 10th anniversary of the museum and the 80th anniversary of the start of massive political repression.
This event was covered in the media by correspondents of “The 1st channel Eurasia” made a report about the activities carried out and recorded interviews with veterans Duysekeev Zhanat Toleuovich and Appasov Zeinulla Kabyldinovich.

On February 15 as part of the events dedicated to 29th anniversary of Soviet military withdrawal from Afghanistan organized jointly with the military unit no. 44813 of the air defense forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, specialist of the research work gave a lecture on the theme “The tragedy of Afghanistan” for regular conscript soldiers of the military unit no. 44813, the air defense forces of the Kazakhstan Republic.

On February 23 as part of the implementation of President’s programming line “View to the future” by specialists of the museum in SI “Kazakh- Turkish lyceum- boarding school for gifted girls”, Astana, for pupils of 8th “A” graders was organized the exhibition and lecture at no cost on the theme “Descendants remember” with slide maintenance. The exhibition displayed materials and archival documents of female prisoners of "ALZHIR" transmitted by offspring from countries near and far abroad, during the International project “Descendants remember” of May 29, 2017 to the 10th anniversary of the museum and the 80th anniversary of the beginning of mass political repressions.

On February 26 to March 5 in the hall “ALZHIR” was organized the exhibition “ALZHIR is our memory and pain” with slide maintenance, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the arrival of the first batch of women with children in the lager “ALZHIR”. On February 27 guide of exposition and exhibition work visited Talapker’s secondary school, Celinograd, and gave a lecture for 7-9 graders on the theme “Ashkhen Nalbandyan- prisoner of “ALZHIR””, dedicated to 115th anniversary from her birthday. Ashkhen Nalbandyan - mother of the famous poet, bard and musician Bulat Okudzhava. She, as the other "wives enemies of the people", has experienced all the difficulties of days in the camp.

On February 27 specialist of research’s work Department E. Samorokova gave a lecture for museum’s guests on the theme “Memory of Belarusian prisoners of “ALZHIR”” in which she spoke about the fate of women of Belarusian nationality who served time in the camp "ALZHIR", their archival documents were handed over by the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to the Head of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev during his official visit to Astana in June 2017. A total of 134 Belarusian women served a sentence I the camp “ALZHIR”.

On March 1, within the framework of celebration Thanks Day of RoK the museum specialists A.Iskendirova and E.Samorokova in the Military unit 3660 of national guard of RoK, Astana city organized the exhibition with slideshow and lecture on “Gratitude through the ages” told about how Kazakh people helped “ALZHIR” prisoners. Diploma was awarded to the specialists for their active participation in patriotic, moral and spiritual education of personnel of the military unit 3660 and for Thanks Day of RoK.

 On March 1, the Charitable event devoted to Thanks Day of RoK was held in the Cultural Centre, Akmol village. Within the framework of this celebration museum specialists organized the exhibition “Memory for the sake of future”, devoted to deported people to Kazakhstan, who had acquired their second Motherland. Photos and archival documents of resettled people of Akmol village were presented there.

 On March 2-11, within the framework of museum pedagogy and realization of Presidential Programme “View to the future: modernization of public consciousness”, the exhibition of children’s drawings and hand-made works of children from the Children’s Creativity Centre, devoted Mother’s day March 8 was demonstrated in “Alash” Hall of the museum.

On March 5-9, the exhibition with slideshow and lecture on “History written by blood”, devoted Mother’s day March 8 was demonstrated. In the exhibition the photos and archival documents of “ALZHIR” prisoners – Aziza Ryskulova, Gulzhamal Mailina, Tatyana Afonina, Sofia Zilberberg, Mariam Antsis, Elizaveta Sadvalasova and others were presented.

On March 15, the specialist of research activity S.Mailibayeva set up an exhibition with slideshow and lecture on “Clara Bron – “ALZHIR” prisoner” for schoolchildren of 9-th grade at school No.53, Astana city. Husband of Clara Bron – Saul Grigoryevich Bron managed Joint Stock Company “Amtorg” in New York and was Soviet Trade representative in London. Arrested On October 25, 1937 by accusation of espionage and had been shot on April 21, 1938. Clara Bron was arrested on November 5, 1937 and on June 12 she was subjected for 8 years in Corrective Labour Camp and sent to Akmolinsk. Clara Bron would not live to see and died of metastatic liver cancer, developed after the breast cancer operation in the camp Hospital on January 22, 1945. After lecture students could see documentary film “Longer than life” made by Dariya Violina, a granddaughter of Lidia Frenkel-Violina, a prisoner of “ALZHIR”. Also this day S.Mailibayeva set up an exhibition with slideshow, lecture on “Famous names of “ALZHIR” and demonstration of the film for schoolchildren of 9-th grade at school No.53, Astana city. In the end of the event, memorandum between Museum and school No.53 had been concluded.

On March 15-23, the mobile exhibition, based on thematically drawings and hand-made works of schoolchildren Grades 1-5 of Akmol village dedicated to Nauryz Holiday was organized in “Alash” Hall  

On April 4, the presentation of the exhibition “The Hurted Song” devoted to life and creativity of prominent poet of XX cent., a son of Kazakh land Pavel Vasilyev, who died in the prime of his talent during Stalin’s repressions was held. The exhibition was opened by director of Museum-house of Pavel Vasilyev in Pavlodar city Mertz Zakiya Sayasatovna, who told about life and creative activity of repressed poet to the students of Agro technical University named after S.Seifullin.

In the exhibition documents and materials from Museum-house fund of Pavel Vasilyev in Pavlodar city were demonstrated. In the arts part of the exhibition, etchings of the Pavlodar artist V.Polikarpov from the works of P.Vasilyev.

The exhibition will be presented up to April 11, 2018.

On April 5, the museum specialist B.Zhalgasova made a visit to aul Karaotkel, Celinograd district, where she organized the exhibition with slideshow and lecture on “Life interrupted by falsity” for schoolchildren of 8-th grade at school No.6, telling about “ALZHIR” women-prisoners and demonstration of documentary film.

On April 11, within the framework of Presidential Programme “View to the future” the museum specialists R.Zhaksibayeva, B.Sakhanova and E.Samorokova participated in the seminar organized by District Library devoted to deported people to Kazakhstan in 30-40-s of XX cent. The descendants of deported people  and victims of political repressions  from Akmol village participated in this seminar also. The museum guide B.Sakhanova presented the slide show and made a lecture. Ibrayeva Tatyana Alexandrovna a granddaughter of Yakovkenko  Efrosinya Vasilyevna, a prisoner of “ALZHIR” told how it was difficult for her grandmother after the camp, but despite of that, she acquired her second homeland in the place of the camp and started family. Her son Taigarinov Alexander Serikpayevich was born after liberation and lived in this village.

In April 17, the museum specialists G.Tulepbergenova and B.Sakhanova set up an exhibition with slideshow and lecture on “Mariam Antsis – a prisoner of “ALZHIR”. Her husband Muller Zavel Iosifovich was a secretary of Krasnoluchinsk city committee, arrested in autumn of 1937 by NKVD employees accusing of being “nation’s enemy” and had been shot. Poor woman had no enough time to think and very soon she was arrested too. And then one day the family was destroyed forever: on the way to the car she was separated from her daughter and the prison door had been closed her life for 16 years. In the camp Mariam Antsis held the position of a manager of the clothing factory. Memorandum on further cooperation on the organization of mobile exhibition and lectures were concluded between “ALZHIR” Museum and Memorial Complex represented by museum director S.I.Tergembayev and school № 3, Talapker village represented by school director B.T. Ermagambetova.

In April 24, within the framework of Presidential programme “View to the future: spiritual renewal”, in the school №4 of Zhambyl Zhabayev in Astana city the event was organized devoted to 120-th anniversary of birth of the state and public figure Zhanaidar Saduakasov, repressed in 1937. Saduakasova Perizat Kurmanovna, a granddaughter of Zh. Saduakasov participated in the event and told about life and public activity of her repressed grandfather.

In 1920-30-s he was brightest manager of Kazakh youth organization.  An active public figure, a talented researcher, who was engaged in the development of projects of the first Kazakh laws, a deputy of Peoples Commissar of finance in Kazakh SSR, Peoples Commissar of justice and public prosecutor of the state. Directly communicated with writers, he was the initiator of a set of discussions on the future of the Kazakh Soviet literature, reviewed new works, focusing attention of young writers on preservation of national spirit. The last third of the 1930s was marked by a new wave of political repressions, which took on a mass character. Thus, on September 17, 1937 Zh. Saduakasov was arrested and shot on February 25, 1938. Rehabilitated in 1957.

In April 26,in the school№ 1of Kazhmukan Munaitpasov in Koshi village museum specialists B.Sakhanova and G.Tulepbergenova set up an exhibition with slideshow and lecture on “Descendants’ memory”, devoted to Maiya Klyashtornaya. Her father – Klyashtorniy Todor Todorovich, the Belorussian poet, had been called “Belorussian Esenin” by people, was represed in 1937. His wife Germanovich Yanina Mikhaylovna was arrested following her husband and was sent to the camp “ALZHIR” for 8 years with her 4-month old baby girl Maiya.

Maiya Klyashtornaya was born in 1937. She spent in the camp up to 3 years old with her mother where she got sick with tuberculosis of the bones, she was very weak child. At the age of 3 she was separated from her mother and sent to the specialized orphanage in Osakarovka village, Karagandy Region with Rida Ryskulova, a daughter of Turar and Aziza Ryskulovs. During the expedition to Belarus in 2017 the manager of exposition and exhibition department R.Zhaksibayeva met with Maiya Klyashtornaya and she handed children’s blanket, in which her mother wrapped her with belt, made in the camp “ALZHIR”. Maiya Klyashtornaya is living witness of inhuman tragedy of XX cent.

In May 31, 2017 Maiya Todorovna Klyashtornaya came to Kazakhstan from Belarus and participated in the meeting with the President of RoK Nursultan Nazarbayev at the museum.

In May 31, 2017 Maiya Todorovna Klyashtornaya celebrated her 80-th birthday.

In April 27, in the territory of the museum, the opening ceremony of the memorial stone for Korean women-prisoners, spent in “ALZHIR” camp in 1938-53-s by Korean Embassy was held.

The event is aimed at preserving memory of tragic days and events of 1930-50-s, restoration of justice to the victims of totalitarianism, formation of Patriotic education of the younger generation, popularization of the museum.

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Korea to Kazakhstan Kim Dan Cik gave a speech in honor of innocent victims of political repressions of 1930-50-s. Also in the ceremony representatives Korean Diaspora, live in Kazakhstan participated. During the event laying flowers ceremony to the Memorial stone and the minute of silence for memory of “ALZHIR” prisoners were held.

On the 1st June on the International Children's Day, by A. Khasenova and B. Sakhanova from the museum staff of “ALZHIR” in “Zerde” hall was organized a video-exhibition “The children of “ALZHIR”” and the lecture “We missed our mother's hands”. The exhibition presented letters and photographs of children of the prisoners of “ALZHIR”: Aziza Ryskulova - Saule and Rida, Fatima Osmanova - Zarema and Aitkul, Gulzhamal Mailina - Edil, Mereke and Raziya, Anna Kagan - Felix and Vladimir, Irina Shubrikova - Iskra, Maya and Vladimir, Zina Akhmetova - Azaliya, Zufnun Nurmakova - Noyan and Tamara, Hanna Martinson - Martin and Inna, Kira Andronnikoshvili - Boris, Nina Vsesyvtskaya -Julia and Alina, as well as photographs and letters of the children of repressed Alikhan Bukeikhanov - Elizaveta and Ukutai; Alashordian, Kazakh writer Koshke Kemengerov - Nartai, Saule and Zaira.

On the 1st June on the International Children's Day on the territory of the museum-memorial complex “ALZHIR” an event was organized for the children of the museum's employees, during which children painted on the asphalt with colored chalk, with modeling clay made various figures, and from colored paper made applications. At the end by Social fund “Amanat-“ALZHIR”” was given sweets to children for their active participation.

On the 4th June of this year, the collective of the museum-memorial complex “ALZHIR” took part at the commemorative event organized by the akimat of Tselinograd district on the Day of State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the event was the introduction and removal of state symbols, the raising of the flag, and sounded the hymn of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Akim of Akmola region Murzalin Malik Kenesbaevich made a congratulatory speech, in which he noted about the opening of the park “View to the future”. Employees of state and budgetary organizations took part in the event. By the collective of the House of Culture of Akmol was organized a concert program.

On the 5th June, in “Zerde” hall was organized a lecture “State Symbols - My Pride” by the specialist of the exposition and exhibition department A. Iskendirova for museum visitors, and was dedicated to the Day of State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 On the 6th June was organized an exhibition accompanied by slides and a lecture “Descendants Remember” by the specialists of the exposition and exhibition department R. Zhaksybayeva and B. Zhalgasova to persons serving a legal sentence in the RMT “Establishment of YT-166/10 of the Department of Criminal Correctional System of Astana of the Criminal-Correctional System Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.

On the 11th June employees of the museum-memorial complex “ALZHIR” visited the Museum of remembrance of victims of political repressions in the village of Dolinka with the purpose of exchanging experience. During the visit, they got acquainted with the exposition of the museum, laid flowers to the monument of the victims of political repressions, and visited the “Mamochkino Cemetery" where the Koran was read in memory of the prisoners of “ALZHIR” and their children.

On the 12th June the specialist of the exposition and exhibition department G.Tulepbergenova organized an exhibition accompanied by slides and a lecture “Torebek Osmanov - Kazakhstan's 1st banker”, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the first Kazakh banker, the founder of the credit system. During the lecture, she spoke about the life and activities of Torebek Osmanov, about his wife Osmanova Fatima Kalmukhamedkyzy, convicted as a family member of traitors to motherland for 8 years, and about his children Aitkul, Laura and Zarema, who were in orphanages. The exhibition presents family photos and archival documents.

On the 12-16 June the director of the museum S. I. Tergembayev participated in the round table “Алматы және оның аңыз тұлғалары”, organized by the museum of the history of Almaty together with the artist and writer Zhumat Anesuly.

On the 20th June in “Zerde” hall was organized a lecture “Prisoner of “ALZHIR” - Magrifa Kazbekova” by the specialist of the scientific work department S.Maylibaeva for the visitors, dedicated to the 115th anniversary of birth of Magrifa Kazbekova- the honored doctor of Kazakhstan, sentenced as a family member of traitors to motherland to 5 years, also told about her husband Smagul Kazbekov, who occupied the post of head of the seed production department of the Kazakh Institute of Agriculture, repressed in 1938 and children, victims of the totalitarian system.

On the 27th June in the “Alash” hall the specialist of the exposition and exhibition work department B.Zhalgasova gave a lecture “Tragic fate of Magzhan Zhumabayev”, and told about his life and work, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of Kazakh poet, journalist, teacher, founder of Kazakh literature - Magzhan Zhumabayev.

On July 2-12, a traveling exhibition and a lecture «Тарихы терең Астана» were organized in the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” in the “Alash” hall as part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the capital Astana of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The exhibition presents the history of the creation of the city, the main periods of the formation of the young capital, as well as architectural structures presented in different periods of the period from the 19th century to the present.

On July 4-5, an exhibition of children's drawings with accompanying slides and a lecture entitled "Astana - through the eyes of children" were organized in the framework of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Astana capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan and museum pedagogical in “ALZHIR” hall. The exhibition presents the works of students of grades 1-7 of secondary school No. 5, Akmol.

On July 20, specialist of the exposition and exhibition department B. Zhalgasova gave a lecture on “Shakarim Kudaiberdiev” for the guests of the museum in the hall "Zerde" timed to the 160th anniversary of his birth. Shakarim Kudaiberdiev, Kazakh poet, writer, translator, philosopher, prominent figure of the "Alash" party, repressed in 1931.

On July 25-31, an exhibition accompanied by a slide and a lecture on “Kira Andronnikova - a prisoner of “ALZHIR” was organized within the framework of the program article “The view of the future” of the Head of State N.A. Nazarbayev in the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” in the “ALZHIR” hall, dedicated to the 110th anniversary of her birth. Georgievna Kira Andronnikova, a Soviet actress and film director, Honored artist of the Georgian SSR, descended from the princely family of Andronikovs. The husband of Kira Andronikova Boris Pilnyak was a famous Soviet poet; the prose writer was repressed in 1937. Following the husband Kira Andronnikova was sentenced to 8 years in the labor camp as "the wife of the enemy of the people". The term served in the camp "ALZHIR".

On August 3, R. Zhaksybayeva the specialist of Department of the exposition and exhibition work gave a lecture "Asfendiyarova-Lapina Rabigha - prisoner of “ALZHIR” for the museum guests in “Zerde” hall, timed to the 125th anniversary of her birth. Asfendiyarova Rabiga Seralievna studied at the Smolny Institute of Noblewomen. She is from the first of Kazakh intelligent women. Her husband, Sanzhar Asfendiyarov was People's Commissar of Health of the KazASSR, repressed in 1938. Following her husband, Rabiga Asfendiyarova was sentenced to 5 years to the labor camp as "the wife of the enemy of the people". The term served in the camp “ALZHIR”.

On August 15, E. Samorokova specialist of the research Department gave a lecture on “Natalia Sats - the prisoner of the “Karlag”” for the museum guests in “Zerde” hall, dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the birth of a theatrical figure, playwright, first Soviet woman, opera director.

On August 15-25, a traveling exhibition and a lecture «Тарихы терең Астана» were organized in the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” in the “Alash” hall as part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the capital Astana of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The exhibition presents the history of the creation of the city, the main periods of the formation of the young capital, as well as architectural structures presented in different periods of the period from the 19th century to the present.

On August 24-31, an exhibition with a slide accompaniment and a lecture on Тәуелсіздік тірегі – Ата Заң were organized in the hall “ALZHIR”, to coincide with the Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The purpose of the exhibition was the history of the formation of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, familiarization of museum visitors with the main provisions and articles of the Constitution, which are fundamental importance for the individual, society and the state. The exhibition presents the main provisions of the Constitution of the RoK, which unite the peoples of our country, as well as providing quality education at schools and universities of the republic, quality medical care and protecting the rights and freedom of citizens of the RoK.

    On August 28, a lecture on “A nuclear-free world as a global mission of Kazakhstan” was given by A. Khassenova the specialist of exposition and exhibition work in the museum hall “Zerde”, commemoration to International Day against Nuclear Tests.

On September 11, a lecture on “Memory of the Heart” was lectured by specialist of the exposition and exhibition Department R. Zhaksybaeva at “Zerde” hall, for the museum guests, dedicated to the memory of the former general director of JSC “Akmola-Fenix”, Ivan Ivanovich Sharf. Sharf Ivan Ivanovich - the director of the Akmolinsky state farm, organized on the site of the “26th point” of the Karlag division - the ALZHIR camp. Also Ivan Sharf is the organizer of the first and only meeting of prisoners of the camp “ALZHIR” in 1989. The monument “Broken star” to the victims of political repressions of the 30-50-ies was opened on his initiative in the village.

On September 18-30, a lecture on “Kazakhstan is our common home” was given by specialist of the exposition and exhibition department and organized a traveling exhibition in the “Alash” hall, dedicated to the deported people to Kazakhstan. The exhibition presents archival materials, personal belongings, national clothes, embroideries, household items belonging to the deported people from the museum's fund: complexes of materials of Ablyakimova Fatima, Smailova Shevkiye, Volkova Antonina Zakharovna, Khvan Unde, as well as Germans sent to Kazakhstan in the 30- 40-ies of the 20th century.

On September 20-30, a travelling exhibition on: “Spiritual renewal: “Karlag” – “ALZHIR” - memorable places in Kazakhstan” held in the framework of celebration of the 20th anniversary of the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the city of Astana and the program article of the Head of State N.A. Nazarbayev “View to the future” in the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, organized by the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation and the museum and memorial complex of victims of political repressions and totalitarianism “ALZHIR”. On the exhibition there are shown photos and archival documents received by the museum from the descendants of repressed, participants of the International Project “Descendants remember” among them Khasen Nurmukhamedov's complex of materials and his wife Kira Berseneva- prisoner of ALZHIR, Mukhamedkali and Shakitai Tatimovs, Shakira and Gaynizhamal Gaisins, Sulukhan Bigizbaeva, Clara Bron and Yente Lichtenstein. Addition to the exhibition were the personal belongings of the prisoners of “ALZHIR”: the chest of Gazima Almaniyazova, the dress of the 20-30s of Maria Danilenko, the dress of Bibidzhamal Syrgabekova, the original perfume “The Blue Box”, owned by Lydia Frenkel, the baby blanket of Maya Klyashtornaya, in which her mother brought her to the camp “ALZHIR” at the age of 4 months, the original of the album with samples of embroideries made by Antsis Mariam Lazarevna in the camp “ALZHIR”, as well as children's letters written by Leon Nurmukhamedov to his mother Kira Berseneva to the camp “ALZHIR”, etc.

During the exhibition, the Foreign Minister of the Gambia, the delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, the delegation of the Embassy of Romania, as well as foreign tourists visited the exhibition.

On September 20, 2018 a solemn opening ceremony of a traveling exhibition on: “Spiritual renewal: “Karlag” – “ALZHIR” - memorable places in Kazakhstan” held in the framework of celebration of the 20th anniversary of the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the city of Astana and the program article of the Head of State N.A. Nazarbayev “View to the future” in the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, organized by the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, the museum and memorial complex of victims of political repressions and totalitarianism “ALZHIR” and the Museum of the memory of  victims of political repressions of Dolinka.

The exhibition was opened by Samat Ilyasovich Tergembayev the director of the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” and Nurdaulet Shertim deputy director of the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation. For the guests of the exhibition the staff of the museum G. Tulepbergenova and A. Khassenova conducted excursion tours in the State, Russian and English languages.

On September 21, a specialist of the research department E. Samorokova organized an exhibition with accompanying slides and gave a lecture on “Let's say no to drugs!” under the regional program “Astana - city without drugs”, in the hall “Zerde” for students of 7-8 grades of secondary school No. 5 a. Akmol. During the meeting, the main issues of drug addiction among the younger generation were highlighted. The students expressed their opinions and were able to ask questions.

On September 25, the specialist of the exposition and exhibition department G. Tulepbergenova gave a lecture on “Yenta Andronovna Liechtenstein – “ALZHIR” prisoner” in “Zerde” hall, timed to the 115th anniversary of her birth. Her husband, Liechtenstein Seven Davydovich, served as director of the Dobrushinsky branch of the State Bank of the BSSR, was repressed in 1937. Yenta Liechtenstein was convicted as a family member of traitors to the motherland for 8 years in the labour camps, she was serving a sentence in the ALZHIR camp.

On October 9-22, a traveling exhibition on “Works of repressed artists” was organized in the museum “ALZHIR” in “Alash” hall dedicated to the memory of artists who served time in the “ALZHIR” camp. The basis of the Akmola camp of wives of traitors to motherland “ALZHIR” were women, many of whom were famous masters before their arrest and graduated from world famous art schools.

Among them were I.A.Borkhman, L.I.Pokrovskaya, M.V. Myslina, A.F. Vasilyeva, and others.

The exhibition presents the works of Borchman I. Pokrovskaya”, “Steppe flowers”, “L.I. Pokrovskaya in the blue”, “L.I. Pokrovskaya in the image of Orlekino "; Tsivirko G.F. - “Grief. Sketch”, “Sketches of a carpet pattern ”, “Kazakh motive”, “Portrait of an Armenian”, a handwritten children's book “There is a tower in the field”; Greenman B.V.- “Camp landscape”, “Self-portrait”, “The old woman with glasses”, “Mountains and stones”, “Sketch of the Library Room Border”, “ALZHIR. A tree by the Barrack”.

In each of the authors’ works reflected the plight, which completely changed their fate.

On October 15, 2018, a solemn opening ceremony of mobile exhibitions on “Spiritual renewal: “Karlag”-“ALZHIR”- memorial sites of Kazakhstan”, and “KARLAG: creativity in captivity” held at the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation in the framework of the implementation of the program article of the head of state N.A. Nazarbayev “View to the future” commissioned by the Amanshayev Yermek Amirkhanovich Deputy Mayor of Astana, organized by the museum and memorial complex of victims of mass political repressions and totalitarianism “ALZHIR” in cooperation with the museum of the memory of victims of political repressions, Dolinka, and the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation.

The exhibition presents unique exhibits from the museum “ALZHIR”: the medal “30 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War”, the medal “Veteran of Labor”, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor belonging to Magrifa Kazbekova, the prisoner of “ALZHIR”. Her husband Kazbekov Ismagul Suleimenovich graduated from the Timiryazev Academy of Agriculture he was the head of the seed production Department in the Kazakh Institute of Agriculture before his arrest, Magrifa Murzagulovna worked as an infectious diseases specialist. In 1936, Ismagul Suleimenovich was arrested as an enemy of the people, and on July 21, 1938, Magrifa Kazbekova was convicted by special council under the NKVD of the USSR as family member of traitors to motherland by 5 years in the labor camps. In Akmola camp arrived on October 1, 1938, from the prison of Chimkent. Released from Karlag on March 2, 1943. In 1943-1946, after her release from the camp, she was in a free settlement at the 26th point of Karlag, where she worked as a doctor. Magrifa Murzagulovna was rehabilitated in 1956. Until the end of her life she worked as a doctor in the city of Balkhash, and received the title of Honored Doctor of Kazakhstan. Magrifa Murzagulovna died in 1982.; a spoon of Ksenia Nikolskaya an ALZHIR prisoner, an aluminum mug from the 50s of the 20th century, a spinning wheel, a baby cot, a suitcase; figures of plaster of the NKVD officer, a women with a small child in her arms depicting the scene of the removal of children from women in the camp;

The names of many repressed writers, poets, scientists and artists remain unknown to the general public.

Among the prisoners were masters of painting as K. Lyatse, M. M. Abylkasymov, A. I. Osipenko, V. A. Arent and others. The exhibition “KARLAG - creativity in captivity” presents paintings by artists who have served their time in Karlag: the painting “Requiem. A trumpet solo” by K. Lyace; the paintings “Shooting at the wolf gate” and “Pupils of the 30s” by the author Abylkasov M.; the paintings “Leading the enemies of the people” and “The thirties fateful” by Osipenko; triptych “37 year” by Arent V.A. the first part - “Erased Fate”, “Opposition”; triptych “Steplag” and “Bloody Path”.

The exhibition was opened by Samat Ilyasovich Tergembayev the director of the museum “ALZHIR” and Nurdaulet Shertim the Deputy Director of the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation. For the guests of the exhibition, the museum staff G.Tulepbergenova and A.Khassenova provided guided tours in the State, Russian and English languages.

On October 18, an exhibition with accompanying slides and a lecture on “The harsh lessons of history” were organized by specialists of the Department of exposition and exhibition work R. Zhaksybayeva and B. Zhalgasova, for persons serving criminal sentences in SCI “Facility EC-166/10, which is operated by the Penal Correction Department for Astana of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On October 19, A. Khassenova, a specialist of the exposition and exhibition Department, visited the secondary school in the village of Zhana Zhol, Tselinograd, where she organized a demonstration of the exhibition accompanied by slides for students in grades 7-8, and a lecture on “Victims of the Red Terror”, dedicated to the life and work of Saken Seifullin, Ilyas Zhansugurov and Beimbet Mailin, prominent Kazakh poets and writers repressed in 1937-1938.

On October 22, G. Tulepbergenova, a specialist of the exposition and exhibition Department, attended the secondary school in the Talapker village, Tselinograd, where for pupils in grades 9-10 she organized exhibition accompanied by slides and gave a lecture on “Sultanbek Khodzhanov - a prominent state, public and political figure in Kazakhstan and Central Asia”. Sultanbek Khodzhanov was the founder and the first rector of the Central Asian cotton-polytechnic Institute in Uzbekistan. Sultanbek Khodzhanov was arrested in 1937 as “enemy of the people” and shot.

On October 22-30, S. Mailibayeva the specialist of exposition and exhibition Department organized a traveling exhibition on “A Child's View of the History of Repression” in the “Alash” hall, which presents the work of students of secondary school No. 5 Akmol, the center of children's creativity “Zhas-Shabyt” Akmol, as well as children from low-income, large families and children, registered in the District Department of Tselinograd (150 people).

On October 23, E. Samorokova a specialist of the research Department gave a lecture to the museum visitors on “Remember them forever” in “ALZHIR” hall, timed to the 110th anniversary of Shakitai Tatimova, the ALZHIR prisoner. Her husband Mukhametkali Tatimov occupied the dock of the People’s Commissar of Labor and Health, was repressed in 1938. Shakitai Tatimova was convicted as the wife of an enemy of the people and served her sentence in the “ALZHIR” camp. With Shakitai were her daughters Clara, Naura and Zaure in the camp.

On October 25, A. Khassenova the specialist of exposition and exhibition Department gave a lecture to the museum visitors on “Kira Bersenyeva- a prisoner of Karlag” in the “ALZHIR” hall, dedicated to the fate of Kira Bersenyeva. Her husband, Khassen Nurmukhamedov, served as people's Commissar of health of the Kazakh SSR, repressed in 1937. Kira Berseneva was convicted as the “wife of the enemy of the people” and sentenced to 5 years of labor camps. She served her sentence in the Akmola branch of the Karlag division, Karlag, Zhezkazganlag. Released in 1943.
