The first edition of the book "Look back with sorrow" was published in Irkutsk (Irkutsk, Sib. kN. publishing house, 1991.-192 p.). In 2004, Igor Leonidovich, then living in Kiev, requested Vera Konstantinovna Gryunberg-Ivannikova, the granddaughter of his aunt, who was serving time in "ALZHIR" to publish the story in Moscow. By that time, he had substantially finalized Chapter 14 of the book on the basis of additional documents that he read in Chita, where in 1937 his father Leonid Emilevich Pol was arrested and shot.
