National Kazakh holiday - Kurisu kuni

On March 12, 2021, the staff of the museum in the "Alash" hall celebrated the national Kazakh holiday - Korisu kuni. The roots of the holiday go back to ancient times, when the Kazakh people were engaged in nomadic cattle breeding. After a long winter, relatives visited each other, inquired about the health of loved ones, forgave offenses and counted livestock. Participants of the festive event - museum staff greeted each other, wished well, showing deep respect for elders. During the event, Kazakh folk songs were sounded, a festive dastarkhan was served, the main dish of which is nauryz-kozhe.
