On November 27, within the framework of the International Scientific Project "ALZHIR Gulag: Qiyn Mura, Koptildilik and Memorialization" of Liverpool University and Nazarbayev University, a meeting of the associate professor of Nazarbayev University Omarbayev Gulnara Abildakyzy and assistant professor of culture of the Department of World Languages, Literature and Macgiura Gabriel by the staff of the ALZHIR museum, the purpose of which is to familiarize with archival materials about the prisoners of the ALZHIR.

During the meeting, a conversation took place, as a result of which the director of the museum Tergembaev Samat Ilyasovich spoke about the activities of the memorial and the need to organize research work in foreign archives in order to replenish the museum's fund with materials about the prisoners of "ALZHIR".

The chief curator of the museum Yergeldinova Zhanar told that thanks to the descendants of the repressed living in Kazakhstan, in the countries of far and near abroad and the research work of the museum staff in the archives of the Department of Internal Affairs of the regional centers of Kazakhstan, the museum fund was replenished with archival materials about prisoners of "ALZHIR". She also noted that more than a thousand archival documents of the prisoners of "ALZHIR" were transferred by the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to the First President of Kazakhstan-Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev during a working visit to Astana in June 2017. As a result of research trips to the cities of St. Petersburg, Tel Aviv, Tbilisi, organized by the Fund of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the museum fund was replenished with unique materials.

Also, museum specialist Anar Khasenova conducted an excursion in English on the expositions of the Alash and ALZHIR museums.
