The director of the museum, Tergembayev Samat Ilyasovich, thanked the guests for the visit and presented a collection of memoirs of children of the repressed "Remember descendants" to remember of the museum, published by the museum staff to the 10th anniversary of the museum and the 80th anniversary of the beginning of mass political repressions. On July 9, members of Akmola regional branch of “Nur Otan” party visited the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” as part of cluster meeting in the building of Celinograd district of “Nur Otan” party, chaired by Bekmagambetov Galym Madeshovich, the First Vice-Chairman of Akmola regional branch of “Nur Otan”.

On July 12, the descendants of Gazima Almaniyazova- prisoner of “ALZHIR” visited the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR”. She was sentenced in 1938 as CHSIR and served a sentence in the camp “ALZHIR”. Her chest, Kazakh jacket and archive documents are presented in the exposition which earlier were handed by the descendants of Gazima Almaniyazova to the museum fund.

On July 20, the youth project “The mission of Siberia” visited the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR”. Representatives from different organizations of Lithuania are studying of history of Lithuanian people, citizens and repressed during the period of mass terror who were exiled to Siberia and other countries of CIS. As is known, from 1938 to 1953 there were 14 women of Lithuanian nationality in the camp “ALZHIR”.

On July 26, the descendants of Zina and Mutallap Akhmetovs, Baibulova Dina Kulumovna and Baibulova Klara Kulumovna visited the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR”. Mutallap Akhmetov was the correspondent of the newspaper “Socialist Kazakhstan”, was repressed in 1938. Akhmetova Zina Ibragimovna was sentenced to 5 years of being “Wife of the Motherland traitor” and served a sentence in the camp “ALZHIR”. On July 31, Safiulin Ramil Akhadovich, a grandson of Abdulakhat Kadyrov who had been Imam of Kostanay Region repressed of religious infiltration in 1937. During the visit R.Safiulin gave copies of documents from personal file of his grandfather A.Kadyrov to the fund of the museum: teaching credential, archival record, search and seizure warrant, questionnaire, interrogation report, detention order and shooting, an article “Remained the light of his soul” from the newspaper “Our Kostanay” No99 (3007) on December 14, 2017, dedicated to the life and activities of Abdullakhat Kadyrov. In memory of the museum to the guest has been given a collection of memories of repressed children “Descendants remember”, published by a team of the museum to the 10th anniversary of the museum and the 80th anniversary of the start of massive political repression.

On August 24, the Museum and Memorial Complex "ALZHIR" was visited by participants of the International Scientific and Practical ConferenceАстананың мәдени мәтіні” (Cultural context of Astana), organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On August 28, the museum-memorial complex “ALZHIR” was visited by the participants from the USA, Belgium, Moldova, Macedonia, Sweden, Belarus, Russia and other countries within the framework of the 15th World Championship on high-speed radiotelegraphy, which took place from August 25-29, 2018, Astana. On September 8, 2018, the museum-memorial complex “ALZHIR” was visited by Raisa Mikhailovna Usovich, local historian, lieutenant colonel of retired justice, who studies the history of her native land - the village of Romanovo, Lebedyansky district, Lipetsk region. Raisa Mikhaylovna is the author of the book “Romantsev-Romanov Rog-Romanovo”, released in 2016 and dedicated to the history of her native village.

Raisa Mikhaylovna told that her fellow villager Natalya Semenovna Karikh, being the church elder, suffered for her faith and was convicted of counterrevolutionary activity in 1937 and was serving a sentence in the camp "ALZHIR", but in 1942, serving a sentence, she was sentenced again because she conducted religious agitation among the prisoners of the camp. The Judicial Collegium of the Karaganda Regional Court on Article 58-10 part 2 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR sentenced to the highest penalty. The sentence is carried out. Together with Natalia Karikh, more than 11 women were shot for their faith. An Orthodox church of 12 Akmola martyrs was opened in Akmol, 2013.

During the visit, a flower-laying ceremony was held at a memorial sign for Hungarian women who were serving their sentences in the ALZHIR camp. The guests were given a tour of the expositions located on the territory of the museum, the “Alash” and “ALZHIR” halls and the documentary “Blistery cold of “ALZHIR”” was shown. At the end of the visit, the guests left wishes in the guests’ book.

On September 22, the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” was visited by a delegation from Ukraine represented by Choliy Evgen Yaroslavovich, President of the World Congress of Ukrainians and Kuleb Ivan Dmitrievich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Kazakhstan and other representatives of the Ukrainian Embassy in Astana. During the visit, a flower-laying ceremony was held at the memorial sign for Ukrainian women who served time in the ALZHIR camp. In September 2018, the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” was visited at no cost by people with disabilities: Group II disabled, Group I disabled, children of preschool age, children from low-income, poor, large families and children registered in the Tselinogradsky District Police Department. On October 9, Vladimir Mamayev, Regional Technical Advisor to the UN Development Program, grandson of Mamayeva Raisa Moiseyevna, the prisoner of “ALZHIR” paid visit to the museum. Raisa Mamaeva - Soviet orientalist, Sinologist. Her husband, Ivan Kirillovich Mamaev, a Soviet military adviser in China, a major, orientalist, holder of the Order of the Red Banner, was arrested on December 5, 1937, died on April 4, 1938, during interrogation in prison.

During the visit, Vladimir Mamaev handed over to the museum’s fund the originals of letters and telegrams written by Raisa Mamayeva in 1939 from the “ALZHIR” camp to relatives in Moscow, a certificate of the dismissal of Mamayeva Raisa Moiseyevna based on the decision of the Special Meeting of the NKVD of the USSR on August 30, 1942, letters of Raisa Mamaeva, written in the 70s addressed to Talgat Bigeldinov. After her release, Raisa Mamaeva worked on the story “Talgat - the grandson of Bigeldy”, dedicated to the life of Talgat Bigeldinov, twice Hero of the Patriotic War.

On October 10, the museum and memorial complex was visited by Jan Gorbachevsky from Texas, USA, the son of Grabskaya Irina Karlovna, the “ALZHIR” prisoner. Irina Karlovna was born in 1917 and was convicted for illegally crossing the border in Poland. She spent in “ALZHIR” from January to September 1941, after which she had been amnesty and was released. She died in 2003 in London. During the visit Jan Gorbachevsky donated to the museum fund scanned copies of a telegram, addressed to Irina Grabskaya, Akmolinsk, a copy of an envelope and a letter written in 1941 and addressed to Irina Grabskaya, scanned copies of letters written by Irina Grabskaya on cloth scraps in 1941 in “ALZHIR” camp, a copy of the pass to the hotel “Intourist” in the name of Grabskaya Irina Karlovna.

On October 18, pupils of the RGI “Republican School “Zhas Ulan” named after General Nurmagambetov S.K.” of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the museum “ALZHIR” at no cost.

On October 23, Natalia Donskova, a journalist for the human rights project “Woman. Jail. Society” from St. Petersburg visited the museum “ALZHIR”. This society was created to draw attention to the problems of women and children in prisons. Currently, Natalia Donskova is working on a project dedicated to the theme of women and children who were in the camps of the GULAG. The specialist of the research department E. Samorokova told about the activities of the museum, as well as about the research work carried out by the museum staff to study and clarify the list of women and children convicted as family members of traitors to motherland.
