On January 22, 2019 museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” was visited by pupils from 27 schools of Astana, and “Regatta” project participants in the framework of the implementation of the program article of the head of state N.A. Nazarbayev “Rukhani Zhangiru: View to the future” with the aim of developing a feeling of patriotism and morality, respect and pride for national history, instilling love for the Motherland among the younger generation. Organized by the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. “Regatta” is a project organized for students of educational institutions of Astana with a visit to 13 museums under a special program, the purpose of which is to create a unique opportunity to visit school museums in Astana to learn more about the native land, life and activities of famous people who have made significant contributions in the history of the development of Kazakhstan society. A tour of the “Alash”, “ALZHIR” halls was held for the museum guests and the documentary “Blistery cold of “ALZHIR” was shown.
On January 24, in order to familiarize themselves with the history of the “ALZHIR” camp and to attract tourists, the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” was visited by the managers of the travel company “Varna-tour”, which organizes tourist trips to Bulgaria. The company has offices in Astana, Karaganda, Semey, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kokshetau, Ekibastuz, Pavlodar and Kostanay. During the visit, the managers of the travel company held a meeting with the museum staff in the “Zerde” hall, at which issues of domestic tourism development and the possibility of concluding a memorandum of cooperation were discussed.

On January 26, officers of the State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus headed by the Deputy Chairman of the State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus Major-General Novikov Sergey Ignatovich visited the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR”. The guests were guided through the “Alash” and “ALZHIR” halls and the documentary “Blistery cold of “ALZHIR” was shown.
On February 9, in the framework of the round table on the topic “The Transition to Universal Declaring in 2020. Experience of USA” held on February 11 in Astana, the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” was visited by the director of the audit organization “FINEX-STANDART” - Rita Espenbetova, director of education center “Finex Education” - Assel Zhanabekova and manager of the audit company “Hogan Taylor” from Oklahoma (USA) - Dorothy Carson. The guests were guided through the “Alash” and “ALZHIR” halls and the documentary “Blistery cold of “ALZHIR” was shown. At the end of the visit, Rita Espenbetova donated the book of her father Kurmanbay Espenbetov, a retired “Күренбел қасіреті”, written by him according to eyewitnesses of the famine of 1931-1933, to the museum’s fund, XX-th century.
On February 23, the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” was visited by employees of the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus. For guests there was a tour of the expositions located in the museum, through the halls of “Alash”, “ALZHIR” and the documentary “Blistery cold of “ALZHIR” was shown. At the end of the visit in the guest book, the guests left words of gratitude to the museum staff for the preservation and perpetuation of the memory of victims of political repressions. In memory of the museum, the guests were presented with a collection of memories of repressed children “Descendants remember”, published by the museum team for the 10th anniversary of the museum and the 80th anniversary of the beginning of mass political repressions.
On February 26, a delegation from the Republic of Armenia, led by Galachyan Gagik Kimovich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR”. The guests were guided through the “Alash” and “ALZHIR” halls and the documentary “Blistery cold of “ALZHIR” was shown.
On March 5, students of the Kazakh National University of Arts “Shabyt” visited the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR”. The guests were guided through the “Alash” and “ALZHIR” halls and the documentary “Blistery cold of “ALZHIR” was shown.
On March 26, the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” was visited by Smagulova Galina Victorovna and Smagulov Denis Kharisovich, the descendants of Smagulova Marfuga Kapchukurovna, prisoner of “ALZHIR” convicted as “the wife of the enemy of the people” on July 10, 1938 to 8 years in the camp. The guests were guided through the “Alash” and “ALZHIR” halls and the documentary “Blistery cold of “ALZHIR” was shown.
On March 28, the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” was visited by employees of the National Security Committee of the State of Israel. During the visit, a flower laying ceremony was held at a memorial sign for women of Jewish nationality who were serving sentences in the “ALZHIR” camp. For guests there was a tour of the expositions located in the museum, through the halls of “Alash”, “ALZHIR” and the documentary “Blistery cold of “ALZHIR” was shown. In the guestbook, the guests left thanks to the museum staff for the preservation and perpetuation of the memory of victims of political repressions. In memory of the museum, the guests were presented with a collection of memoirs of repressed children “Descendants remember”, published by the museum team for the 10th anniversary of the museum and the 80th anniversary of the beginning of mass political repressions.
On April 12, the museum and memorial complex "ALZHIR" was visited by representatives of public and religious associations from the United States, Mongolia, as well as from the city of Nur-Sultan and the regions of Kazakhstanin the framework of a seminar organized by the Eurasian National University. The guests were guided through the “Alash” and “ALZHIR” halls and the documentary “Blistery cold of “ALZHIR” was shown.
On May 1, on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Kazakhstan, the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” was visited by Sven-Olov Carlsson, the EU Ambassador to Kazakhstan with his family. On May 19, on the eve of May 31 - the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Political Repressions and Hunger, the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” was visited by participants of the 17th meeting of the Kazakhstan-Germany Intergovernmental Commission on Ethnic Germans Living in the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the visit, a flower-laying ceremony was held at a memorial sign to German women who were serving their sentences in the “ALZHIR” camp. For guests there was a tour of the expositions located in the museum, through the halls of “Alash”, and “ALZHIR” and the documentary “Blistery cold of “ALZHIR” was shown.
On May 23, the delegation of the “Armenia-Kazakhstan” friendship group visited the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR”, which arrived on a working visit to Nur-Sultan. The delegation included the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Regional Issues and Eurasian Integration- Mikael Sergeevich Melkumyan; member of the Standing Committee on Regional Issues and Eurasian Integration, group leader- Vakarshak Sosovich Hakobyan; member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations- Anush Edvardovna Begloyan; Leading Specialist of the External Relations Office of the Office of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia- Mnatsakanyan Sofia Rudolfovna and others. On May 31, 2019, on the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repressions and Famine, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev visited the museum and memorial complex "ALZHIR" with the Head of the European Council Donald Tusk. For guests there was a tour of the expositions located in the territory of the museum, in the halls "Alash" and "ALZHIR". During the visit, the ceremony of laying flowers to the Wall of Memory took place.
On May 31, 2019, on the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repression and Hunger, Nazarbayeva Dariga Nursultanovna, Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the museum and memorial complex "ALZHIR". During the visit, the guests took part in the ceremony of laying flowers to the Wall of Memory. For guests there was a tour of the expositions located in the in the territory of the museum, and in the halls "Alash" and "ALZHIR", and the documentary “Blistery cold of “ALZHIR” was shown. In commemoration of the museum, Dariga Nursultanovna was presented with a collection of memoirs of children of the repressed “Descendants remember”, published by the museum team for the 10th anniversary of the museum and the 80th anniversary of the beginning of mass political repressions.
On June 8-10, within the framework of the extraordinary elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” was visited by international observers accredited for the elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Excursions to the “Alash” and “ALZHIR” halls were conducted for guests free of charge and the documentary “Blistery cold of “ALZHIR” was shown.
On June 9, within the framework of the extraordinary election of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” was visited by Arinbasarova Natalya Utevlevna, Soviet and Russian theater and film actress, Honored Artist of the RSFSR and Kazakhstan, invited to the elections as an observer. A tour of the “Alash” and “ALZHIR” halls was held for the guest and the documentary “Blistery cold of “ALZHIR” was shown. On June 14, the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” was visited by the participants and the jury of the International Theater Festival “Samgau”. A free tour of the “Alash” and “ALZHIR” halls was held for guests and the documentary “Blistery cold of “ALZHIR” was shown.
On June 20, within the framework of the Year of Youth, the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” was visited by young specialists from the “Youth Resource Center of the Mangystau Region”.
