January 22 at the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” in “Zerde” hall was meeting of museum’s collective where Oralov M.A. - director of the museum, discussed with the staff the State of the Nation Address by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, January 10, 2018. This message aimed at ensures a high standard of population’s quality of life according to country. Ten understandable and clear tasks of the message set a concrete program of actions for the transition to a fundamentally new economic model that takes advantage of the new technological order 4.0. People of Kazakhstan should speedily modernize and digitize Kazakhstan’s enterprises. In particular, museum employees must digitize the materials that stored in museum’s collections (genuine archive documents, photos and material objects) for more open access to information to a wide spectrum of people.
January 22 the Chief Engineer of the Museum Orshabekov S.I. in "Zerde" hall gave a lecture for museum staff on the topic “Safety and health regulations” where elucidate the main fire safety rules in the Museum and also conducted induction briefing about safety and health regulations. (12 p.)
January 29 in “Zerde” hall deputy director of administration and management work Duysekeev K.T. gave a lecture for museum staff on the topic “Maintenance system of video monitoring” , noting that equipping the museum with video monitoring is the guarantee of security for museum visitors at all.
On February 14 in “Zerde” hall a meeting was held between team of the museum and specialist of public awareness activities under the Municipal Public Utilities Insitution “Centre for analysis and advocating interfaith relations under Religious Affairs Bureau of Akmola region Appasova Malika Garifullaevna. She gave a lecture on the theme “The law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on religious activities and religious associations” and highlighted the key concepts used in this law, as well as answered to questions of the museum staff.
On February 19 safety technical engineer of the museum in “Zerde” hall gave a lecture for the museum staff on the theme “Fire safety and fire prevention”. During the lecture, Amirgaliyev Zh. noted that fire safety is a priority for every company and organization, and also held a primary fire coaching in the workplace among the museum staff.
On February 21 in observance of International Tourist Guide Day and 20th anniversary of the official transfer of the capital to Astana, guides of department exposition and exhibition work took part in a roundtable on “Excursion works” held at the National Museum of Kazakhstan Republic. During the meeting B. Sahanova gave a presentation on the theme ““Excursion and exhibition activity f “ALZHIR” museum”. At the close of the meeting the museum staff were awarded with certificates.
On February 26 in “Zerde” hall deputy director Duysekeev K.T. gave a lecture for museum staff on the theme “Action agaist corruption” devoted to combating corruption. During the lecture Duysekeev K.T. briefed the museum staff with the Law of RK “On Combating Corruption”, by decree of the President of RK “On additional measures to strengthen the fight against crime and corruption and to further improve law enforcement in the Kazakhstan Republic”.
On February 26 as part of the 20th anniversary of the capital Astana of Kazakhstan Republic, “Ел жүрегі – Астана” and the 375th anniversary of the victory in the Orbulak battle, the museum's employees took part in the city competition “Fun run” for workers of cultural institutions in Astana, organized by the Department of Culture, archives and documentation of Astana city in the sports complex of the Palace “Zhastar”.
At the end of the Games, the participants were awarded with a letter of thanks from the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation of Astana and a diploma for active participation.
On March 15, within the framework of Presidential Programme, the event “Welcome, Nauryz!” devoted to Nauryz Holiday was held in “Zerde” Hall. Opening remarks were made by museum director Oralov Meyrambai Askerbayevich, During the event schoolchildren performed the musical composition, sang a song, played dombra, participated in national games and had been treated by national food Nauryz kozhe.
On March 24, in conformity with the order of the First Vice Prime-Minister of RoK by March 14, 2017 within the framework the programme “Green bridge” , “ALZHIR” Museum and Memorial Complex participated in the action “Hour of Earth”. During the action external lighting of the territory of the museum from 20:30 to 21:30 was turned off. Museum specialists made video about this action.
On April 6, by the initiative of the museum staff, fire-tactical exercises with the participation of fighters of the Fire Department № 22 in Akmol village was held and the firemen arrived to alleged fire. During this training the museum specilaists evacuated the foreigner visitors from museum building and left the museum too. The firemen showed the liguidation of fire in the museum building and the works of powder extinguisher were demonstrated also.
In April 9,Ermolayeva Mariya Yuryevna from Moscow, a granddaughter of Elizabeth Timofeevna Minshutina, a prisoner of “ALZHIR” sent the copies of archival documents including Questionnaire of E.Minshutina, Reference investigative case on charges of Alexei Minshutin, who was born in 1880 and repressed in 1937 for participating in counter-revolutionary terroristic-diversion group, Certificate to arrest of E.Minshutina. Elizabeth Timofeevna Minshutina died in “ALZHIR” camp in 1942 at the age of 57.
In April 16,within the frameworkof Presidential Programme “View to the future: modernization of public consciousness”, “ALZHIR” museum was a platform for intellectual game «Generationtalks» among young people organized by “Youth resource center of Celinograd district”.
In April 21 - 28, the museum specialists participated in city-wide Cleaning Day, the territory of the museum and park “Alash” were cleaned.
In April 21-23-s, the museum specialists took a part in training courses for guides organized by Capital Tourism Association of Astana city. Venue – hotel «Wyndham Garden Astana» located in EXPO-207 area. The appropriate expert of international standards, one of the authors of guide activity law in Turkey, a Board Member of Guide Association in AntalyaMustafa Yalcinkaya firstly in Astana conducted the course.
On the 5th June within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the museum and memorial complex "ALZHIR" and the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Sh. Valikhanov Institute employees conducted research work in the museum's fund for studying archival documents of the prisoners of “ALZHIR”. In the course of the work they transferred 22 books, published by the Institute, to the museum fund.
On the 20th the staff of the museum “ALZHIR” attended a lecture of the employee of the Department of Agency for Civil Service and Anti-Corruption Activities in Astana, organized to implement the Action Plan for 2018-2020 on the implementation of the Anti-Corruption Strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2025 and counteracting the shadow economy of the Department of Culture and sport of the city of Astana in the building of the State Enterprise "Ethno-memorial complex “Map of Kazakhstan “Atameken”.
On August 1, a ceremony of rewarding citizens who contributed to the development of the district held in the framework of celebrating the 90th anniversary of Tselinograd district in the Cultural Center, Akmol. Duysekeyev K.T., deputy director of the museum and Zhaksybaeva R.R, specialist of the Department of exposition and exhibition work were awarded with the jubilee medal during the event. Also, Ayaganova E.E. the head of the Department of exposition and exhibition work and specialist Tulepbergenova G.Sh of the Department of exposition and exhibition work were awarded with the diploma of honor.
On August 17, a solemn ceremony to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Tselinograd district and the opening of the regional sports contest “Ak biday 2018” held at the Central Stadium, Akmol. Employees of the museum E. Ayaganova, G. Tulepbergenova, J. Ergeldinova, E. Samorokova, A. Khassenova and K. Parkhomenko took part in the theatrical scene, performing the role of women in the 20-30s of the 20th century, convicted as “A family members of traitors to the motherland”.
On August 23, specialists of the exposition and exhibition department G. Tulepbergenova and A. Khassenova took part in the international scientific and practical conference on “Астананың мәдени мәтіні” (Cultural context of Astana) organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the National Academic Library. During the conference, the museum staff organized a mobile exhibition on “In memory of generations”. The exhibition presents photos and archival documents received by the museum from the descendants of repressed, participants of the International Project “The descendants remember” among them complex of materials of Khassen Nurmukhamedov and his wife Kira Berseneva, the prisoners of “ALZHIR”, Mukhamedkali and Shakitai Tatimovs, Shakir and Gaynizhamal Gaisins, Sulukhan Bagizbaeva, Clara Bron and Yente Lichtenstein.
On August 23, 2018, the staff of the museum met with the Imam of the mosque “Аналар рухы” Abilkhan kazhy Baltauly in “Zerde” hall of the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR”, whose goal was to intensify the promotion work on the prevention of religious extremism, to inform the history of traditional religions, to reveal the essence of the activities of destructive decisions, as well as propaganda of the stories of traditional religions. At the lecture was to discuss the recommendations for the prevention of the spread of ideas of destructive religious movements in organizations.
During the lecture, the imam of the mosque told about the measures to be taken in order to neutralize the negative influence of the religious factor on the consciousness and psyche of people and answered to the questions of interest the museum staff.
On September 5, a contest “Тіл – мемлекет тірегі” was held among Russian-speaking museum employees who competed in the knowledge of the state language on the day of celebrating the Day of languages of Kazakhstan nationals in the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” in “Zerde” hall. The purpose of the competition is to popularize and expand knowledge about the state language within the collective.
At the beginning of the competition, the participants performed the national anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, then each told about themselves in Kazakh, read poems about the state language, asked each other questions, composed words from letters. At the end of the event, Deputy Director K.T. Duisekeev for active participation presented gratitude letters to the contestants.
On September 7, a thematic poetic hour was organized on «Алты алаштың ақиық ақыны - Мағжан» within the framework of the decade of the period of September 5-18, 2018, timed to the Day of languages of Kazakhstan nationals in the building of the Nur Otan branch of the Tselinograd region, coincide to 125th anniversary of Magzhan Zhumabayev birth, organized by KSU “Youth Resource Center” and Tselinograd local library. Employees of the museum E. Ayaganova and G. Tulepbergenova took part in the event, during which they told about the fate of the poet, repeatedly repressed and shot in 1938.
On September 7, 2018, an event entitled «Отбасы – отанымыздың ошағы» on the eve of the celebration of the Family Day and in the implementation of the program article of the Head of State N.A. Nazarbayev “View to the future” hosted in the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR” in “Zerde” hall with the participation of families living in lawful marriages over 30, 40 and 50 years, as well as young families living in Akmol, Tselinograd district.
Representatives of the older generation talked about how they overcame difficulties and preserved their family hearth.
At the end of the event participants planted young trees in the park “Alash”.
On September 12, the main curator of the museum Zh. Yergeldinova and specialist of the exposition and exhibition work Department S. Mailybaeva took part in the regular meeting of the Art Council on Museum Affairs under the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, organized by the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the meeting, were discussed the topics of the development of automated system for the registration of museum valuables, the creation of 3D models of the museum fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the digitization of the cultural heritage of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the digitization of museum exhibits, etc.
September 13, 2018, a meeting of the museum staff with Nurlan Bekov, chief specialist of the Department of Internal Policy of Tselinograd district, who gave a lecture using visual material on “Danger, essence and forms manifestations of destructive pseudo-religious trends” in “Zerde” hall of the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR”.
The lecture also discussed recommendations on the prevention of the spread of ideas of destructive religious movements in organizations.
During the lecture, Nurlan Bekov spoke about what measures should be taken to neutralize the negative influence of the religious factor on the consciousness and psyche of people and answered the questions of interest to the museum staff.
On September 22, the museum staff took part in the citywide clean-up work on landscaping the museum: the territory of the museum and the “Alash” park were cleared of rubbish, and the windows and doors of the ground floor of the museum were cleaned.
On September 28, Amirgaliev Zh. the technical safety engineer of the museum took part in the round table on topical issues of fire safety, organized by the Emergency Situations Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the exhibition center “Korme”.
September 27-28, Absadykova N.Sh. the head of the personnel department of the museum took part in the seminar on “Legal regulation of labor relations”, organized by “Astana Orleu” LLP in “Тілеп-Қобыз сарайы”. At the end of the seminar a certificate was obtained.
On October 5, Hwan Nadezhda Stepanovna, daughter of Openko (Choi) Evgeniya Petrovna, the prisoner of “ALZHIR” visited the museum. During the visit Nadezhda Stepanovna donated to the museum's fund autobiography of her mother, a copy of the Kazakh literary-artistic and social-political magazine “Niva” for number 4 , 1997, on which pages article of Vladimir Son “Live and Remember” was published, dedicated to the fate of Choi Yevgenia Petrovna, photo of Choi Evgenia Petrovna after her release in 1976, rehabilitation certificate of Choi Evgenia Petrovna, as well as material objects, including the jubilee medal “50 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945”, the original of the membership book, the badge “Excellence in Soviet Consumer Cooperation”, the medal “Veteran of Labor”, the badge "Excellence in Public Education of the Kazakh SSR", the original of a note written in 1952 by Choi Yevgenia Petrovna in connection with the re-arrest, and CD-ROM with memories of Evgenia Petrovna Choi.
On October 8, Sergey Pilchuk, currently living in Kiev, great-grandson of Zorka Sophia Markovna, prisoner of “ALZHIR”, provided via e-mail: copies of archival materials and photographs of her repressed great-grandmother and great-grandfather, copy of the rehabilitation certificate of Sofia Markovna on April 12, 1957, a copy of rehabilitation certificate of Zorka Vasiliy Efimovich on March 4, 1958, a copy of photo of Zorka Sophia Markovna after release and surrounded by relatives to the museum fund.
On October 10, Duysekeev K.T. a Deputy Director gave a lecture on “Confronting extremism and terrorism” to the museum staff in the hall “Zerde”. During the lecture Duysekeev K.T. noted that ensuring the security of society and the state is a priority in the fight against the manifestation of extremism and terrorism.
October 11, 2018, the museum staff discussed the Message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to the people of Kazakhstan on “Growth of welfare of Kazakhstani people: increase of income and quality of life” in “Zerde” hall. During the discussion the museum director Samat Ilyasovich Tergembaev acquainted the staff with the contents of the message. During the discussion, the specialist of the exhibition and exposition department S. Mailibayeva spoke to the staff with a report in which she highlighted the main points of the Message.
On October 12, 2018, a meeting of the museum staff with Tulkibayev Rakhim Zhakievich, First Deputy Chairman of the Tselinograd district branch of the People's Democratic Party “Nur Otan” to explain the annual Message of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev to the people of Kazakhstan was held.
On October 15, Hwan Nadezhda Stepanovna, daughter of Openko (Choi) Evgeniya Petrovna, the prisoner of “ALZHIR” donated to the museum's fund collection of real objects from the personal archive: copies of photos of Openko (Choi) Yevgenia Petrovna, surrounded by her relatives and colleagues made after release, her mother’s robe 70-s year, a porcelain figurine of a girl in a sundress and shawl.
On October 18, N. Absadikova manager of Human Resources of museum, and L. Abdrakhmanova Head of Research Department, participated in a seminar on the transition of the Kazakh alphabet to the Latin script, organized by the State Administration of “Department of development of the languages and archival matters, Astana” in the framework of the implementation of the program article of the Head of State N.A. Nazarbayev “View to the future”.
On October 24, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the museum and memorial complex of victims of political repressions and totalitarianism “ALZHIR” represented by the museum director S.I. Tergembaev and school-gymnasium No. 69, Astana, in the person of director Zhunusova K. K. in the implementation of joint activities.
On October 30, a literary evening on “Ұлттың ұлы тұлғалары” held in “Zerde” hall in the framework of the implementation of the program article of the Head of the State N. Nazarbayev “View to the future” organized by the museum and memorial complex “ALZHIR”.
During the event, students of secondary school No 5, Akmol performed the best works of the outstanding poet and thinker Abay Kunanbayev, as well as the repressed poets Magzhan Zhumabayev and Saken Seifullin.
Employees of the District Library, Akmol, was organized an exhibition of collections of works of the above poets and books published in the program article of the Head of the State N.A. Nazarbayev “View to the future”. At the end of event participants were given letters of appreciation for their active participation in the public life of the museum.
